Leonardo had a special way of writing called “mirror writing.” He wrote from right to left and backwards.
One of the questions I’m most often asked is: Where do my ideas for Magic Tree House books come from? When I first started writing the series, I talked to countless kids and teachers about where they’d most like Jack and Annie to go.
I’m about to travel to one of my favorite events of the year: the annual Junior Theater Festival in Atlanta, Georgia. Over the holiday weekend, more than 3000 kids will act, dance, and sing at a show space in the Hotel Renaissance, Waverly.
More Fun Facts !! This time, it’s “Polar Bears and the Arctic”
The highlight of my autumn was a two-week trip to Japan with my husband Will. We did many fun things, including walking down the “Green Carpet,” of the Tokyo International Film Festival for the premier of a Japanese “anime” of Magic Tree House.
For decades I’ve loved the early jazz music of New Orleans. The songs from Louis Armstrong’s first records are not only joyful, funny, and mysterious, they are also uniquely American.
New Orleans is said to be the most haunted city in America.
As you might know, my latest Magic Tree House, #48, A Perfect Day with Pandas came out this summer, along with my sister Natalie Pope Boyce’s newest Fact Tracker, Pandas and Other Endangered Species.
Every now and then we share some Fun and/or Amazing facts compiled by Natalie Pope Boyce, author of the Magic Tree House Fact Tracker books.
As a new school year begins, I am excited to introduce you to my new Classroom Adventures Program. I regard this program as my 20th anniversary gift to teachers who have inspired me with their dedication to their students and creative use of Magic Tree House in the classroom.
