Mary Pope Osborne's
CLASSROOM ADVENTURES PROGRAM
is designed to use kids' love of Magic Tree House adventures,
and their identification with Jack and Annie to spark interest
in reading and learning across the curriculum to help
teachers accomplish classroom requirements in creative,
meaningful and long-lasting ways.

Mary discovered and was inspired by this artwork online back in 2012. After an in-depth search, our team was able to locate the artist, Anastasia, in Russia. With the help of a Russian translator and the publishing company, Eksmo, we were grateful to receive approval to use the image as a representation of Mary's Classroom Adventures Program.
The image serves as both an inspiration and a reminder that books can create hope, encourage children to use their imaginations, and to follow their dreams. For some, books can be a much needed escape from reality and proof that anything is possible, even in the most difficult situations.

"My first grade students got the opportunity to dress up as Egyptian characters and go back to the time of the Egyptians. After a series of lessons to support MUMMIES IN THE MORNING and the Fact Tracker, MUMMIES and PYRAMIDS, our class created a Living Museum of Egyptian characters! "My students love reading Magic Tree House books. It is a way for them to travel all around the world with Jack and Annie and learn about important places and dates in history as they read. I love using these books in small guided reading groups with my 2nd grade students. Our discussions often require me to grab my laptop so we can google the place where Jack and Annie are because the kids just have to see more! Magic Tree House stories bring the world into our classroom. The Fact Tracker books work hand in hand with the fiction stories. When we finished the fiction story, Dogs in the Dead of Night, my reading group was thrilled to read the nonfiction Fact Tracker, Dog Heroes next!"
