One of the questions I’m most often asked is: Where do my ideas for Magic Tree House books come from? When I first started writing the series, I talked to countless kids and teachers about where they’d most like Jack and Annie to go.
I’m about to travel to one of my favorite events of the year: the annual Junior Theater Festival in Atlanta, Georgia. Over the holiday weekend, more than 3000 kids will act, dance, and sing at a show space in the Hotel Renaissance, Waverly.
The highlight of my autumn was a two-week trip to Japan with my husband Will. We did many fun things, including walking down the “Green Carpet,” of the Tokyo International Film Festival for the premier of a Japanese “anime” of Magic Tree House.
As a new school year begins, I am excited to introduce you to my new Classroom Adventures Program. I regard this program as my 20th anniversary gift to teachers who have inspired me with their dedication to their students and creative use of Magic Tree House in the classroom.
