Fact Trackers/Nonfiction Lesson Plans

Please select a Magic Tree House Fact Tracker to find its related Lesson Plans. The # next to the book title corresponds to that Fact Tracker's companion book in the Magic Tree House series.

The Common Core State Standards require children to read across multiple texts on the same topic. Magic Tree House Fiction Adventures and their corresponding Non-Fiction Fact Trackers are the ultimate paired texts for grades 1-4 for teachers to use as they guide students to decipher text, compare and contrast, and form opinions.

Common Core State Standards focus on critical thinking and there is a shift toward non-fiction in the classroom. The Magic Tree House Fact Trackers give students in grades 1-4 easy-to-digest information about science and social studies topics, and they include fun facts, photos, illustrations, definitions and more!
